Start with the individual minion
Inspect the minion’s Status tab and hover over a trait to read what it means. The official Malignus press kit shows Status entries including six stats, a buddy, a nemesis, a favorite haunt, and a life story. The trait tooltip gives a more specific explanation of what the minion cares about.
Read a trait before reacting to it
The developer’s example is Superstitious. Its tooltip describes a minion that wants the gods and the dead treated with respect and grumbles more often when they aren’t. Use that information to interpret a complaint instead of assuming it affects all minions equally.
Compare the tooltip with Grumbling
Open the Grumbling page when your crew complains. It shows what’s bothering the dungeon’s minions and how many share each complaint. Compare that list with the individual’s trait description. If several minions share a complaint, that can help you decide which issue to investigate first.
