Open Dark Arts and look for Rituals under Rites and crafts. That section sits alongside branches such as Alchemy and Enchanting, with spell schools in a separate area. Start here when you want to find ritual progression before laying out the worship room.
Choose the altar’s god and leave space for worship
Choose the god when you build the altar. Place the worship spots and offering tables in the same room and within five tiles of the altar. Both conditions matter, so leave enough room around the altar before you fill the rest of the space. The developer’s altar interface screenshot shows those requirements.
Select the finished altar to see its options
Once it is built, select the altar and read the options for the god you chose. The documented Altar to the Gravecaller shows names including Deathwatch, Mend, Rise, Second Breath, and Bursting Dead. Use the details displayed in your build before planning around any particular effect or cost.
